Kelly Brand Management (KBM) is encouraging their FBA clients to get their shipments to the Amazon fulfillment centers earlier than the set holiday deadlines-November 6 for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and December 1 for the Christmas season.
Glen Reich, senior account manager at KBM said, “Every year companies find themselves sitting at their computers waiting to see if their products were checked in to Amazon fulfillment centers. This year especially, eCommerce teams will likely see some added value in shipping their November products no later than October 25th. That’s not to say that replenishment shipments cannot go after the key dates Amazon has set however, it may pose more of a problem than previous years.”
In order to help manage the peak season, Amazon introduced ASIN-level quantity limits on FBA products. The Change was made in part to prepare for a successful season, start to finish. Amazon is encouraging companies to have an inventory surplus for their most popular products, and to also check inventory statuses at least once a week during the busiest time of the year.
“ASIN Quantity limits are a new obstacle that we are working with in 2020. Our account coordinators are monitoring and managing their respective accounts more closely throughout this season, so our clients can be worry-free about stock levels, account issues, and buyer messages. This allows us to run at peak efficiency, giving us the ability to respond quickly and to work around limitations on ASIN quantity limits or inventory storage limits,” Reich said.
